Why Great Point.
We invest in growing health care companies with well defined business models and the executive leadership capable of sustaining growth. We generally invest in companies with a track record of both revenue and profit growth, but in some areas such as life sciences, companies may not be profitable at the time of our investment.
We are investors not operators. We leave the day-to-day operations of our portfolio companies to management teams we have decided to back. We are active board members and advisors. We see ourselves as experienced investors who partner with management teams with the shared objectives of continued growth and success. Companies choose to work with Great Point because of our health care expertise, our industry contacts, and our expertise in helping CEOs grow their business.
Industry Focus
Great Point Partners focuses on biotechnology and life sciences, consumer health, generic drugs, health care services, information technology, insurance, medical devices, specialty pharmaceuticals, worker compensation companies, and other growth areas of health care.
Investment Size
Our investments range from $10 million to $35 million for our private equity fund. With co-investments from our limited partners, we can invest in excess of $50 million per company.
Investment Structure and Flexibility
Generally, we are the first institutional investor in our private equity investments. We are almost always the lead investor and often the sole investor. We are equally accepting of an opportunity as a minority investor or as a controlling shareholder. We structure investments that sustain long-term growth, support financial stability, and maximize shareholder value.
